Micronaut and Grails Project Lead, Object Computing
Graeme Rocher is a software engineer and professional open source contributor. He has created several popular open source projects, including Grails (http://grails.org), GORM (http://gorm.grails.org), and Micronaut (http://micronaut.io). Graeme currently leads the development of the Grails and Micronaut frameworks at Object Computing (http://www.ociweb.com) and is the author and/or coauthor of several books, including The Definitive Guide to Grails 2 (Apress). Graeme won the inaugural Oracle Groundbreaker award in 2018.
CEO and Founder, RLI Consulting
Ronika Lewis is the CEO and Founder of RLI Consulting, an information technology and management consulting firm founded in 2006. RLI is an Oracle [NYSE:ORCL] World Wide Gold Partner and designs, develops, implements, and supports enterprise cloud applications embedded with technologies like AI, machine learning, blockchain, IoT, and advanced analytics, and focuses heavily on cloud security and identity management. In 2018, Ronika founded RL Empowers, a nonprofit focused on training, educating, and certifying marginalized black 18-25 year olds. The goal is to create an organic pipeline of cloud engineers and technologists into white collar, six-figure salary jobs in STEM doing digital transformations and cloud migrations. RLI also partners with MIT Solve, focusing on economic prosperity and solving the future of work challenges, as part of the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
Vice President, Developer Relations, Oracle
As vice president of developer relations for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure,, Bob Quillin leads the cloud native labs team responsible for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure native developer relations, advocacy, engagement, solutions, and lighthouse adoption. Bob joined Oracle as part of the StackEngine acquisition in December 2015, where he was cofounder and CEO. Based in Austin, TX, StackEngine was an early container native pioneer building services and platforms designed to help developers and DevOps teams build, orchestrate, and scale enterprise-grade container apps. Prior to his role at StackEngine, Bob was CEO of Austin-based CopperEgg, a cloud monitoring SaaS startup acquired by Idera in 2013. With previous executive and startup leadership roles at CopperEgg, nLayers, EMC, and VMware, Bob has focused his career on applying automation to simplify complex cloud, IT, and developer challenges. Developer Relations, Oracle
Gerald Venzl is senior principal product manager for Oracle server technologies. He started his career in the dot-com era as a PL/SQL developer using Oracle 8.1.5. Soon after, Gerald specialized in Oracle Database performance tuning, then evolved into his role in performance tuning, mainly working on the J2EE and Oracle Database stack. Gerald worked in Austria, New York City, and London before moving to Oracle's Silicon Valley headquarters. There he joined the product management team for Oracle Database and server technologies, focusing on developer communities.
